Thermal Analysis of Flat Plate Solar Collector Using Different Nanofluids and Nanoparticles Percentages

Flat plate solar collector (FPSC) is commonly used due to its low price, less complexity, and easier installation operation. The thermal efficiency the main disadvantage of this type collectors. In present study, performance FPSC using alumina oxide -water copper nanofluids are evaluated. effect nanoparticle volume fraction investigated theoretically validated experimentally. A computational fluid dynamic model developed. with experimental result carried in study. simulated under hot climate conditions Egypt. results showed that presence nanoparticles working increases pressure drop collector, but enhancement also obtained. Further, an optimum 0.5% found attain highest collector. Furthermore, oxide-water nanofluid effective than at same conditions.
